Romans 3:20

Therefore by the deeds of the law, no flesh shall be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
because by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified in his sight; for through the law cometh the knowledge of sin.
For no person will be justified [freed of guilt and declared righteous] in His sight by [trying to do] the works of the Law. For through the Law we become conscious of sin [and the recognition of sin directs us toward repentance, but provides no remedy for sin].
For no person will be justified (made righteous, acquitted, and judged acceptable) in His sight by observing the works prescribed by the Law. For [the real function of] the Law is to make men recognize and be conscious of sin [not mere perception, but an acquaintance with sin which works toward repentance, faith, and holy character].
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
For no one will be justified in his sight by the works of the law, because the knowledge of sin comes through the law.
It follows that no human being will be treated as righteous in his presence by doing what the Law says, because the knowledge of sin comes through the Law.
For in his sight no one alive will be considered righteous on the ground of legalistic observance of Torah commands, because what Torah really does is show people how sinful they are.
God doesn't accept people simply because they obey the Law. No, indeed! All the Law does is to point out our sin.
Wherefore by works of law no flesh shall be justified before him; for by law [is] knowledge of sin.
Because by the works of law no flesh will be declared-righteous in His sight. For through law comes the knowledge of sin.
Because by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified before him. For by the law is the knowledge of sin.
because no one can be made right with God by following the law. The law only shows us our sin.
God's Law shows people clearly that they have done wrong things. Nobody can become right with God because they obey that Law.
For this reason, no one will be declared righteous in his sight by works of the law, for through the law we become aware of sin.
For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.
For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.
because no one can be ·made right [justfied; declared righteous] with God [Ps. 143:2] ·by following [L through the works of] the law. [L For] The law only ·shows us our [brings awareness of] sin.
Therefore by the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the Law cometh the knowledge of sin.
Not one person can have God’s approval by any effort to follow the laws in the Scriptures. These laws show what sin is.
For no one is put right in God's sight by doing what the Law requires; what the Law does is to make us know that we have sinned.
For no one will be justified in His sight by the works of the law, because the knowledge of sin comes through the law.
because no one can be made right with God by following the law. The law only shows us our sin.
Therefore, God will not justify any human being by means of the actions prescribed by the Law, for through the Law comes the full knowledge of sin.
We know what the message of the Law is, to those who live under it—that every excuse may die on the lips of him who makes it and no living man may think himself beyond the judgment of God. No man can justify himself before God by a perfect performance of the Law’s demands—indeed it is the straight-edge of the Law that shows us how crooked we are.
For by the deeds of the law, no flesh shall be justified in his sight; for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.
For by the works of the law no person will be declared righteous before him, for through the law comes knowledge of sin.
Now do you see it? No one can ever be made right in God’s sight by doing what the law commands. For the more we know of God’s laws, the clearer it becomes that we aren’t obeying them; his laws serve only to make us see that we are sinners.
So where does that put us? Do we Jews get a better break than the others? Not really. Basically, all of us, whether insiders or outsiders, start out in identical conditions, which is to say that we all start out as sinners. Scripture leaves no doubt about it: There’s nobody living right, not even one, nobody who knows the score, nobody alert for God. They’ve all taken the wrong turn; they’ve all wandered down blind alleys. No one’s living right; I can’t find a single one. Their throats are gaping graves, their tongues slick as mudslides. Every word they speak is tinged with poison. They open their mouths and pollute the air. They race for the honor of sinner-of-the-year, litter the land with heartbreak and ruin, Don’t know the first thing about living with others. They never give God the time of day. This makes it clear, doesn’t it, that whatever is written in these Scriptures is not what God says about others but to us to whom these Scriptures were addressed in the first place! And it’s clear enough, isn’t it, that we’re sinners, every one of us, in the same sinking boat with everybody else? Our involvement with God’s revelation doesn’t put us right with God. What it does is force us to face our complicity in everyone else’s sin.
Therefore by the works of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
So by the works of the law no flesh at all will be justified before him, because through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
Not one person can have God’s approval by any effort to follow the laws in the Scriptures. These laws show what sin is.
since no human being will be justified in his sight by observing the law; for through the law comes consciousness of sin.
because by the works of the Law none of mankind will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes knowledge of sin.
because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.
For no one can be regarded as justified in the sight of God by keeping the Law. The Law brings only the consciousness of sin.
because no one can be made right with God by following the law. The law only shows us our sin.
For no one is declared righteous before him by the works of the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
So no one will be considered right with God by obeying the law. Instead, the law makes us more aware of our sin.
Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
No person will be made right with God by doing what the Law says. The Law shows us how sinful we are.
For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.
because no flesh can be justified in the sight of God by the deeds of the law. For by the law comes the knowledge of sin.
For ‘no human being will be justified in his sight’ by deeds prescribed by the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
For ‘no human being will be justified in his sight’ by deeds prescribed by the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
For “no human being will be justified in his sight” by deeds prescribed by the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
For no human will be justified before him by deeds prescribed by the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
No mere mortal, you see, can be declared to be in the right before God on the basis of the works of the law. What you get through the law is the knowledge of sin.
For by Ma’asim (Works) of Chok (Law) shall KOL CHAI LO YITZDAK ("all living not be justified" TEHILLIM 143:2), for through the Chok (Law) comes the da’as HaChet (the knowledge of sin, BERESHIS 3:7).
Therefore, no flesh shall be justified in His sight by the works of the Law. For by the Law comes the knowledge of sin.
For no human being will be justified in his sight by works of the law, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.
For no human being will be justified in his sight by works of the law, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.
For no human, on the basis of Torah observance, will be set right in His sight—for through the Torah comes awareness of sin.
Therefore, doing what the law prescribes will not make anyone right in the eyes of God—that’s not its purpose—but the law is capable of exposing the true nature of sin.
Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
No one will be put right with God because he has tried to obey the law. The law only makes people know what they have done wrong.
For of the works of the law each flesh shall not be justified before him; for by the law there is knowing of sin [for by the law is knowing of sin].
wherefore by works of law shall no flesh be declared righteous before Him, for through law is a knowledge of sin.
